New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training LLC (NOAT&FT) welcomes A&P applicants to join our small but mighty crew. NOAT&FT seeks mechanics to ensure our single and twin-engine aircraft are airworthy and ready to serve our students and tour clients. NOAT&FT also seeks mechanics that enjoy troubleshooting to find the right fix to keep our birds in the air.
The person hired for this full-time position is responsible for 1) routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, and inspections on our fleet of fixed-wing aircraft (Cessna & Piper); 2) reviewing and ensuring all required entries into the aircraft maintenance logbooks and permanent records are accurate and meet company and FAA requirements; and 3) coordinating scheduled maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I. SCHEDULED AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE • Perform 50-hour, 100-hour, and other scheduled maintenance on fleet of Cessna and Piper aircraft. • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on aircraft per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. • Complete Aircraft Condition Reports when squawk has been resolved. • Assist in providing time estimates for work needed. • Perform all work in a safe and timely manner. • Properly handle all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft while in repair process. • Maintain all aircraft in a safe, clean, and operative/air-worthy condition. • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean, and operative condition and ensure all tools and parts are accounted for at the end of each task. • Properly care for and use tools and equipment for maintenance tasks. • Notify administration and other appropriate team members of any condition that would compromise the airworthiness of the aircraft. • Attend administrative, standardization, in-service training, and staff meetings as assigned. • Other duties as assigned.
II. MAINTAIN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE RECORDS: • Document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. • Maintain aircraft logbooks, checklist verifications, status reports, and administrative data as required. • Update online and in-office maintenance tracking. • Ensure the safety of each flight and passengers.
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED LICENSE AND EXPERIENCE: • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Required • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Preferred • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred • 2 years' experience in GA Maintenance Preferred • Proficiency in FAA regulations including ADs, 337s, and logbook entries. • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and internet navigation.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physically and mentally demanding work environment with a high degree of confidentiality. Knowledge and use of computers for troubleshooting, AD and SB research, scheduling, creating logbook entries, and other activities is important. The A&P must be flexible when necessary to meet demands of unexpected maintenance or scheduled maintenance outside of standard business hours. Weekends, from Friday evenings through Sunday afternoons, are extremely busy times, and A&P will be on-call. A&P must perform a full fleet check on Monday and Friday mornings. All staff meetings are mandatory.

DRUG AWARENESS POLICY: To maintain a safe environment for everyone, NOAT&FT has a no-tolerance policy for substance abuse. An A&P must be in top mental and physical condition when reporting to work. NOAT&FT may conduct periodic testing for illegal drugs without notice and does require a pre-employment drug test.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures, with high levels of humidity. Able to physically perform climbing, stooping, stretching, etc. Operations related to the job and lift up to 50 pounds.
PRODUCTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE: Schedule routine maintenance to ensure minimal downtime in advance of due date.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Minimal.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT/PAY/SALARY: This is a part-time assignment paid hourly. A&P pay is based on experience and qualifications. Salary may be offered for qualifying candidates.
