The A&P Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing rotary-wing aircraft to ensure safe and reliable operation. This position performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements and maintenance manuals, Sterling’s Repair Station Manual, company policies and procedures, and established safety practices.
The mechanic works with other maintenance and technical personnel to diagnose and resolve aircraft discrepancies while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting a strong culture of safety and quality.Duties/Responsibilities:Perform routine inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and repairs on Bell, Airbus, Leonardo (Agusta), Sikorsky, and MD models.Troubleshoot aircraft systems and discrepancies and perform necessary repairs using applicable technical data.Perform component overhauls as required.
Perform and document all work in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals and technical data, Sterling’s Repair Station Manual, and company policies and procedures.Accurately complete required maintenance records and documentation.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.Perform other duties as assigned.
