weird find thread contribution. mouse nest in a pitot static drain on an airplane that had flown two weeks earlier. altimeter read fine on the ground. would not have read fine at altitude. check the drains, they take 30 seconds

Up here it is not mice, it is one specific bird that has decided a pitot tube is excellent architecture. Covers on, always, even for an hour.
