Pilot question I have never asked out loud. When I write a squawk, what makes one useful to you instead of useless? I want to write better ones and nobody has ever told me how.

Conditions. When it happened, what phase of flight, what was switched on, what changed. "Autopilot acting up" costs me four hours. "Autopilot pitched down twice in altitude hold, both in moderate turbulence, above 10,000" costs me forty minutes.

Rewriting how I do this entirely. Thank you.
