Maintenance question. We are looking at drone inspection for tail and upper fuselage work instead of building scaffolding every time. Anybody actually doing this on transport category airframes, or is it still a sales pitch?

Real, but the honest version is it finds things you then confirm by hand. It saves you the scaffolding on the eight inspections where nothing is wrong, not on the one where something is.

That is the most useful answer I have gotten and it is the opposite of what the vendor told me.
