Students, instructors, and alumni of Atlantic Coast Flight Academy in Daytona Beach. Scheduling, checkride prep, aircraft availability, and where everybody ended up afterwards.
Group rules
Complaints about the school are allowed and encouraged, by category, not by naming a staff member. Alumni: come back and tell people what happened next.
Chief instructor here and I am not moderating this into a marketing page. If scheduling is broken, say scheduling is broken. Name a system, not a person, and I will actually take it to the meeting.
Alumni check in as requested. Instructed here for two years, hit 1,500, class date at a regional next month. The thing this school gave me that I did not value at the time was being forced to teach the ground lessons instead of handing students a video.
Fleet update since it keeps coming up. Two Archers are down waiting on parts and one is back Thursday. That is why your instructor keeps rescheduling you and it is not because somebody else is more important. I would rather you be annoyed at a supply chain than at each other.
I test applicants from several schools in this region. Without ranking anybody, the pattern I see from this one is applicants who can explain their reasoning and are sometimes rusty on a maneuver. I would take that trade every time. Whoever is teaching the oral prep here, keep doing it.
